Replay

Play back a past session minute by minute, with the boards and charts as they were, to study levels or practise.

At a glance
  • Past sessions, minute by minute: the boards and charts as they were, before anyone knew what came next.
  • Replay is in the heatmap's control bar and the chart's top bar.
  • Play, step or jump to any time, at speeds from 1x to 30x.
  • Back to live returns to today. So does switching to another view.

Starting a replay

    Open the replay bar
    Click Replay. On the charts the bar opens standing by: nothing changes until you act, so you can pick the day first.

    Pick the day
    The date shows a calendar of the sessions recorded for the symbol, with buttons for the previous and next session.
  3. 3
    Start
    Press play, step, or jump to a time. On a chart you can also click a candle to start the replay from it.

Without a pick, a replay starts on the newest session at the current time of day (or at 10:00 ET when that time is outside the session).

Step and speed are remembered for your next replay.

What follows the replay

  • Every chart pane, on one clock. Candles build up to the playhead.
  • The side board beside the charts, and the heatmap boards.
  • Replaying today's session plays up to the latest recorded moment; the rest of the scrubber is hatched as not recorded yet.
  • Charts replay regular hours.
  • Steps under a minute show second-by-second detail on recent sessions; on older sessions the boards change once a minute.

Sharing a moment

While a replay runs, the address in your browser carries the moment, such as ?replay=2026-10-16T10:30. Copy it to come back to the same minute, or to show someone else (they need their own account to open it).

Practising with replay

    Before you press play
    Mark the King, floor and ceiling, and the quiet stretches between them, as you would before a live open.
  2. 2
    Pause at every level
    Write down what you would do, where you would be wrong, and your target.
  3. 3
    Then play
    Judge your process, not whether one trade would have worked.

The Academy in the app has lessons built on real past sessions, with practice replays that keep the rest of the day hidden until you reveal it.

On the heatmap, replay works the same way from the Replay button in the control bar.
