Heatmap settings
Everything you can change about how the board looks: colours, low nodes, numbers, the Net column, velocity and more.
At a glance
- The gear in the control bar opens Heatmap settings: colours, numbers, the board's look, the tooltip and motion.
- Node % sets how nodes read (dollars or % of the King) and how small nodes are drawn.
- Every board at once: these settings apply to the heatmap and every Multimap panel.
- Remembered in this browser, with a reset that puts the defaults back.
A live preview at the top of the dialog shows each change before you close it.
Colours
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Palette | Classic (the standard look, default), Dusk (navy to gold, colour-blind friendly), Mono (size only, no hue). |
| Scale | Linear (default), Sqrt to lift mid-size nodes, Log to lift small nodes the most. |
| Domain | Board range (default) or Zero-centred, so zero always sits in the middle of the colours. |
Numbers
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Sign | ± (default) or Abs to drop the minus signs. The colour still shows the sign. |
| Decimals | 0·1·2·3 |
| Text size | A slider from −4 to +4, or Auto (default) to fit the text to the column width. |
| Bold | Heavier numbers. Off by default. |
Board
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Board style | Glass (default) draws large nodes as tiles; Classic fills every cell edge to edge. |
| Tiles from | With Glass: the size, as a share of the King, from which a node becomes a tile (25% by default). While low nodes are dimmed or hidden it follows Min % King. |
| Row density | Compact·Normal·Comfortable |
| Spot line | The dashed line at the exact price between two strikes. On by default. |
| Net column | Bars of each strike's total beside the strikes: green to the right for positive, red to the left for negative. Off by default. |
| Info bar | The colour scale and the totals under each board. On by default. |
Tooltip and motion
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Tooltip | Turn the hover card off entirely. Clicking a node still opens its details. |
| Velocity rows | Which timeframes the hover card lists (1m, 5m and 10m by default). |
| Flash changes | Cells flash when they change by more than Flash at (25% by default). Off by default, and only on boards with one column per expiration. |
Node %
Node % sits beside the gear because it changes how you read nodes at a glance. Its own preview and Reset cover just these settings.
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Read as | Value in dollars (default), or % King: each node as a share of the King, with the King itself still in dollars. |
| Low nodes | Off, Hide (no text and a faded colour), Dim (default), or Fade (every node faded by its size, the King in full). |
| Min % King | Which nodes count as low: under 25% of the King by default (5–100%). |
| Dim by | How strongly low nodes are dimmed: 80% by default. |
Velocity settings
Velocity has its own popover on the control bar: the timeframe, which nodes get badges, and the confluence bar. See Velocity and Movers.
Resetting
- 1Just the heatmapIn Heatmap settings, Reset… then Confirm reset. It resets this dialog and Node %, but not velocity.
- 2EverythingSettingsReset all settings in the app's sidebar resets every setting, velocity included. See Settings and saved data.
