Multimap
Several boards side by side, such as SPX, SPY and QQQ: adding and arranging boards, setups like Trinity, and each board's options.
- Up to six boards side by side, each with its own symbol, strikes and expirations.
- Trinity is the built-in setup: SPXW, SPY and QQQ in three columns.
- Summed or by expiration: each board can add its expirations into one column, to fit more boards across.
- Shared: the metric, Follow, Compare, velocity and every heatmap setting.
Setups and layouts
The Multimap opens with Trinity: SPXW, SPY and QQQ, each showing the front expiration summed into one column. The Layout button in the control bar changes the arrangement:
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Layout | 1 panel·2 columns·3 columns·2×2·3×2 |
| Add panel | Opens symbol search for a new board, up to six. The new board copies the active one's view. |
| Setups | Trinity puts SPXW, SPY and QQQ back, keeping your colour-scale choice. |
| Scale across panels | Panel (default) colours each board on its own range; Shared uses one range for all, so sizes compare across boards. |
A smaller layout removes boards from the end, always keeping the active one. A larger layout adds boards with the next symbols from SPXW, SPY, QQQ, NDX, SPX and a few large stocks. An empty slot shows a dashed Add panel tile.
Each board
The header of every board carries:
- The symbol: click it to switch this board to another ticker.
- GEX or VEX: switching it here switches every board.
- The price and the King, with the King's distance from the price.
- Expirations, with Front·2 expirations·3 expirations·5 expirations·All and the same date ranges as the heatmap, and Show: One column per expiration·Net, summed in one column. A Σ marks a summed board.
- The panel menu (⋯): Duplicate panel and Close panel.
Click a board to make it the active one (it gets an outline): View in the control bar then acts on it. Drag a board by its header to move it.
What is shared and what is not
| Shared by every board | Set per board |
|---|---|
| GEX or VEX, Follow, Compare, velocity, Node % and Heatmap settings. The colour range too, when set to Shared. | Symbol, strikes, expirations, summed or not, and hidden strikes. |
Reading three maps
SPX and SPY follow the same index, so when they agree it is close to one reading, not two. QQQ adds a different market. A useful habit: read SPX and SPY together, then check whether QQQ agrees. When all three tell the same story, a level has more behind it; when they disagree, ask less of it or wait.
The Multimap can also sit beside a chart, in the chart's side board. See Charts.
