The Flow page

The options tape for every symbol we cover, live and for past sessions: columns, filters, presets and sorting.

At a glance
  • The tape: every option order as it prints, newest on top, across the symbols we cover.
  • The toolbar narrows it fast: symbols, a premium floor, calls or puts, the side.
  • Filters and presets for everything else; columns you can show, hide, sort and move.
  • Past sessions from the date chip; click any row for the contract's full story.

Live, paused and past

  • Live with a pulsing dot means new orders are arriving. Click it to pause; it then reads Paused, or how many new orders are waiting. Click again to catch up.
  • Scrolling down the tape also holds new orders back, so rows don't move under you.
  • The date chip (Today) opens a calendar of trading days. A past session shows its tape; Go live or Back to today, live returns to today. A reload always opens today.

The toolbar

ControlWhat it does
SymbolsType tickers to keep only them; type !TSLA to leave one out (it shows struck through). Enter, a comma or a space adds each one.
≥ $25KThe premium floor: $10K·$25K·$50K·$100K·$250K·$500K·$1.00M. Orders under $10K are never listed.
All·Calls·PutsCalls, puts or both.
Any side·Ask·Mid·BidWhere the fill sat against the quote: at or above the ask (buyers), near the middle (unclear), or at or below the bid (sellers).
FiltersEvery other filter (below). A badge counts the active ones.
ColumnsShow, hide and reorder the tape's columns. Not on phones.
Side panelsShow Strike flow and Net impact beside the tape.

Filters you set beyond the toolbar appear as chips over the tape, such as DTE ≤ 7 or Sweeps; each has an ✕. Clear all resets them but keeps your symbols.

Filters

Every change applies at once.

Presets

A preset saves a set of filters to apply in one click. Six come to start with:

  • Big money ($1M+)
  • Opening sweeps: $50K and up, sweeps, Vol > OI, out of the money.
  • Bullish conviction and Bearish conviction: $50K and up, Flow Score at least +60 or at most −60.
  • Unusual size (Size > OI)
  • 0DTE index: SPXW, SPY, QQQ and IWM, expiring today.
  1. 1
    Save
Set your filters, then Save current filters as a preset… in the Presets menu (or Save as preset… in Filters) and name it.
  2. 2
    Update
A dot on the Presets chip means you changed the filters since applying it. Save changes to "name" updates the preset.
  3. 3
    Rename or delete
The pencil and bin appear when you hover a preset. Up to 30 presets.

Columns and sorting

The tape starts with Time, Ticker, Strike, C/P, Exp, DTE, OTM, Fill, Bid · Ask, Side, Score, IV, Size, Premium, Vol, OI, V/OI and Tags. Three more can be turned on: Size/OI, Spot and Day mix (the contract's bid and ask mix for the day).

  • Click a header to sort one way, again for the other way, and a third time for the tape's own order.
  • Drag a header to move the column, or use Columns; Reset columns and sort starts over.
  • Narrow windows drop a few columns, and phones show each order as a two-line card.

The summary and side panels

The strip above the tape sums the day: a Bullish, Bearish or Even lean with the net premium, calls and puts in dollars and contracts, the put-to-call ratio and the number of prints. It follows your symbols, not the other filters.

PanelWhat it shows
Strike flowOne symbol's premium by strike around the price: calls on the left, puts on the right, each split into bought and sold. Pick the symbol, the expirations and the window: 5m·15m·1h·Day.
Net impactThe day's most bullish and most bearish symbols by net premium. Click one to filter the tape to it.

On windows at least 1,200 pixels wide the panels sit beside the tape; narrower windows switch between Tape·Strike flow·Net impact.

Common questions

Why are there no sweeps on SPX?

SPX options trade on one exchange, so they never sweep. On SPX, look for fills at or through the quote instead.

SPX or SPXW in the tape?

Both. SPXW is the weekly and daily options (including today's), SPX the standard monthlies. NDX is split the same way into NDXP and NDX.

Why doesn't the summary change with my filters?

It follows the symbols you picked only, so it always describes the whole tape for them.

Are my presets and columns on my other computer?

Not yet: the Flow page remembers them in the browser you set them in. See Settings and saved data.
