Weekly: November 2–6 Options Positioning Watchlist

A Bullish Map Drawn After a Sharp Down Session, With Volatility Leaning the Other Way

DISCLAIMER: This watchlist is built from TrueGEX dealer-positioning maps. Nothing here is financial advice: do your own due diligence, form your own hypothesis and plan accordingly.

Date: October 30, 2026 (maps as of 16:14 ET)

Primary Window: November 2 - November 6, 2026

Swing Window: November 9 - November 27, 2026

This is a reference map, not a directive trade sheet. It shows where the maps point to asymmetric structure, where the risk boundaries are, where the target ladders sit, and what would change each setup.

Market Read

The 2026-10-30 scan covered 275 symbols, drafted 272 maps and qualified 71 bullish setups against 2 bearish ones, a 97.2% bullish share. That lopsided count arrived on a session where the average move across the scan was -2.13%. The map is not saying the tape was strong. It is saying that, after the drop, most names sit near support nodes with upside exposure mapped above them. Grade mix: 48 actionable, 14 strict and 11 supplemental.

The damage was concentrated in growth and semiconductors. SOXX fell 8.33% on the session, SMH 6.96%, TSM 5.99%, MU 5.34%, QQQ 3.46% and NDX 3.44%, while TQQQ dropped 10.38%. The broader and smaller-cap gauges were softer but less extreme: SPY -1.79%, SPXW -1.84%, IWM -1.59% and RUT -1.54%. Defensive names held up better, with PG up 0.55% and NFLX essentially flat at -0.02%.

The dashboard disagrees with itself in one important place. VIX qualified as a bullish volatility structure at 20.11 points after an 11.91% session gain, with a support node at 20 and a ladder reaching 28 to 34 points. A rising-volatility map sitting next to a long list of bullish equity maps is the central tension this week. VXX, UVXY and SQQQ also rose sharply but did not qualify, so the volatility signal rests on VIX itself rather than the leveraged products.

Among the index gauges, QQQ, SPXW and SPY did not qualify: their support nodes sit very close to their structural boundaries, and SPXW and SPY are already near their first mapped levels. They serve as context only. NDX, RUT, IWM, SMH, SOXX and TQQQ did qualify, which means the qualified index read leans on Nasdaq and the semiconductor complex, the same areas that took the heaviest hit, plus small caps.

Our working read: the bullish list is a set of support-and-reclaim maps drawn into a selloff, not a confirmation of strength. It holds up as long as the nearby support nodes hold and VIX stays contained near its 20-point node. If semis keep falling through their boundaries while VIX extends toward its upper ladder, the list loses its footing quickly.

Current setup pulse:

Bullish setups: 71

Bearish setups: 2

Bullish score-weight: 97.2%

Average snapshot move across qualified setups: -2.13%

The 97.2% figure is the bullish share of setup score among qualified setups. It is not a probability of a rally, a share of advancing stocks, or evidence of inflows.

73 setups qualified from 275 symbols scanned (272 drafted a map; the rest missed the bar on reward, risk, reach or book size).

28 of the 73 setups fall outside the named themes, so the theme sections are samples, not a census.

Broad Market / Hedge Dashboard

This dashboard sets the context for the single-name watchlist. Each label reflects that instrument’s own structure; it does not resolve disagreements between related products.

QQQ: Key Levels

Current$691.15
Nearest support node$685.00
Structural boundary$684.09
First GEX level above$695.00
VEX ladder$730.00, $750.00, $755.00, $760.00

Context only this week, not a qualified setup. At $691.15 after a 3.46% session drop, the support node sits at $685 with the structural boundary at $684.09 and the first level above at $695; the narrow gap between node and boundary is why it did not qualify.

SPXW: Key Levels

Current7,577.82 points
Nearest support node7,510.00 points
Structural boundary7,499.25 points
First GEX level above7,600.00 points
VEX ladder7,600.00 points, 7,675.00 points, 7,700.00 points, 7,725.00 points

Context only. At 7577.82 points, the support node is 7510 points with the boundary at 7499.25 points, and the first level at 7600 points is already close to price. We treat 7499.25 points as the large-cap line that matters for the list.

SPY: Key Levels

Current$756.69
Nearest support node$750.00
Structural boundary$748.44
First GEX level above$758.00
VEX ladder$767.00, $776.00, $800.00, $810.00

Context only. At $756.69, the support node sits at $750 with the boundary at $748.44, and the first level at $758 is already near price. Holding above $748.44 keeps the broad backdrop intact for the bullish maps.

Qualified bullish momentum map from $471.20 after an 8.33% session decline, with the boundary at $465.30 and the first level at $480. It is the gauge we watch first for the chip and memory names.

VIX: Bullish Pullback Structure

Setup TypeStrict qualified bullish setup

Structural Invalidation$61.38
Short-Term GEX Reference$63.00
Swing / Extended VEX References$74.00, $78.00, $85.00, $95.00

Qualified bullish momentum map at $62.06 after a 10.38% session drop, with a $62 node, a $61.38 boundary and a first level at $63. It amplifies the Nasdaq read, so it depends on QQQ holding its boundary.

SQQQ: Key Levels

Current$41.84
Structural boundary$41.09
First GEX level above$42.00
VEX ladder$45.00, $50.00, $55.00, $135.00

Context only. At $41.84 after a 10.52% session gain, the boundary sits at $41.09 and the first level at $42, which is very close to price.

QQQ, SPXW, SPY, VXX, UVXY and SQQQ are shown as context only: their maps do not clear the qualification bar this week.

Market Sentiment Summary

Bullish:

  • 71 qualified bullish setups against 2 bearish, a 97.2% bullish share of qualified maps.
  • NDX, RUT, IWM, SMH, SOXX and TQQQ all qualified as bullish structures on the dashboard.
  • Defensive names held up on the session, with PG up 0.55% and NFLX near unchanged.
  • Many primary names sit just above mapped support, such as BAC at $50.01 against a $50 node and GOOGL at $280.11 against $280.
  • Mapped upside exposure extends well above price in semis and memory, including SMH VEX levels at $630 and $650 and MU at $980 and above.

Caution:

  • The scan's average session move was -2.13%, so the bullish count reflects proximity to support, not strength.
  • Semiconductors led the decline, with SOXX -8.33%, SMH -6.96% and TSM -5.99% on the session.
  • VIX qualified as a bullish volatility structure at 20.11 points after an 11.91% session gain, with ladder levels at 28 to 34 points.
  • QQQ, SPXW and SPY did not qualify, mostly because their support nodes sit very close to their boundaries.
  • Several setups carry tight distances between node and boundary, which leaves little room for noise.

How To Use These Nodes

Start with the broad gauges as context. SPY's support node at $750 and boundary at $748.44, QQQ's $685 node and $684.09 boundary, and SPXW's 7510-point node with a 7499.25-point boundary define where the large-cap backdrop holds or gives way. These are key levels, not setups. Holding above them would support the read on the bullish list; trading through them would weaken it broadly.

The semiconductor gauges matter most for the primary list because MU and TSM sit inside that complex. SMH's $520 node and $517.28 boundary, and SOXX's $465.30 boundary with a first level at $480, are the levels to watch. A move back through SMH's $525 and SOXX's $480 first levels would improve the read on chip and memory names; a break of the boundaries would weaken it.

VIX is the cross-check. Its 20-point node and 19.8-point boundary frame the volatility side. Volatility slipping back below 19.8 points would favor the equity list, while a push through the 20.5-point first level toward the 28 to 30-point ladder would argue that the bullish maps are being drawn into a market that is still repricing risk.

Small caps offer a separate confirmation line. IWM's $277 node and $276.21 boundary, and RUT's 2800-point node and 2781.9-point boundary, held up better than Nasdaq on the session. If small caps reclaim their first levels ($284 on IWM, 2830 points on RUT) while semis stabilize, the breadth of the list looks more credible.

What We're Watching Next Week

The bullish follow-through case for 2026-11-02 to 2026-11-06: SMH and SOXX hold their boundaries and work back toward $525 and $480, NDX holds 28091.25 points and builds toward its 29675-point level, and VIX falls back below its 19.8-point boundary. In that version, primary names near their nodes, such as BAC, GOOGL and BA, would have the backdrop the map assumes.

The defensive case: semis extend the session's losses through their boundaries, QQQ and SPY trade below $684.09 and $748.44, and VIX moves through 20.5 points toward its upper ladder. That would leave the bullish list mapped against a market that is not respecting support, and the defensive names such as PG would likely be the only part of the list behaving as drawn.

A divided week is plausible too: small caps and defensives hold their nodes while semis and Nasdaq stay heavy, and VIX churns around 20 points. In that case we would read the list selectively, giving more weight to the maps whose dashboard gauges confirm and less to the chip and memory names until SMH and SOXX settle.

Target Timing Framework

Immediate / Current Structure

The snapshot is near a quoted execution zone or risk level. A strict qualified label describes the structure, not an instruction to enter immediately.

First Reaction Window

Timeframe: 0-5 trading days, roughly November 2 - November 6, 2026.

The closest useful reaction level may be a VEX node even when the scan lists a more distant GEX target. A strike existing does not mean price reaches it within five sessions.

Swing Window

Timeframe: 2-4 weeks, roughly November 9 - November 27, 2026.

Planning windows for follow-through if structure holds, not timing estimates.

Extended VEX Window

Larger exposure references can span months. Expiration dates beside the dated VEX levels identify the exposure, not a deadline for price to arrive.

How To Read The Levels

Current: the snapshot price the scan used. Index and VIX levels are in points; stock and ETF prices in dollars.

Best Entry / OTE: a quoted pullback reference. When it sits on the far side of price it is called a reclaim reference instead.

Execution Reference: the current snapshot zone, for an actionable label with no separate entry. It is not an executable price.

Hold / Retest Reference: a level to study for acceptance and a retest, not an instruction to chase the first break.

Tactical Risk Floor / Ceiling: the nearer support or resistance node, when there is one.

Structural Invalidation: the boundary beyond which the setup needs reassessment. It is not an order type and does not guarantee a fill.

Short-Term GEX Reference: the gamma-exposure target, which can be farther away than the nearest VEX level.

Swing / Extended VEX References: the broader vanna-exposure ladder. GEX and VEX lists are separate structures and do not always form one path.

Large reward-to-risk multiples are not expected returns. A plan still needs position sizing and a price-acceptance rule.

Sector Rotation Read

Semiconductors / Equipment

Seven bullish setups: SMH, SOXX, AMAT, AMD, MRVL, TSM and AVGO. This is also the group that took the heaviest hit, with SOXX -8.33%, SMH -6.96% and TSM -5.99% on the session. The maps place support close below price, such as SMH at $520 against $522.53 and AMD's $500 node with a $497.48 boundary. Mapped VEX exposure sits far above, so the gap between nearby support and distant upside is wide; the near levels matter first.

Memory / Storage

Three bullish actionable setups: MU, WDC and STX. MU fell 5.34% on the session to $884.45 and is mapped from an $875 node with an $871.20 boundary. WDC and STX are mapped from current price with boundaries at $358.88 and $636.08. The group tracks the semiconductor complex closely, so SMH and SOXX holding their boundaries is the first confirmation.

Fintech / Banks

Four bullish setups: BAC, C, JPM and WFC. BAC is in the primary list at $50.01, sitting on its $50 node with a $49.50 boundary and a first level at $52.50. JPM's $335 node and $331.65 boundary and C's $120.78 boundary frame the rest of the group. Banks fell moderately on the session, with BAC down 2.27%.

AI / Software / Cloud

Seven bullish setups and no bearish ones: ADBE, UBER, NOW, AMZN, NFLX, CRWD and GOOGL, all graded actionable. The group fell less than semis on the session, with AMZN -1.47%, GOOGL -1.31% and NFLX essentially flat. GOOGL sits just above its $280 node, while AMZN and NFLX are mapped from current price with boundaries at $237.60 and $61.38. The theme reads as a support-holding group that depends on Nasdaq not breaking lower.

Crypto / Miners

A single bullish actionable setup in COIN, mapped from current price with a $141.57 boundary and a first level at $150. One name is too thin to call a theme read; it is a standalone map.

China ADRs / EV

Four bullish actionable setups: BIDU, BABA, FXI and PDD. BABA is mapped from current price with a $97.02 boundary and a first level at $100, PDD with a $77.22 boundary and $80 first level, and BIDU from a $76 node toward $78. The group sits somewhat apart from the US tech selloff, which makes it a useful check on whether weakness is broad or concentrated.

Power / Nuclear

The only theme with a split: CCJ is a supplemental bullish map from a $77 node with a $75.24 boundary, while VST is the bearish actionable setup. VST sits at $138.19 after a 1.97% session decline, with a boundary at $140.39 and mapped levels below at $135, then $130, $125 and $115. The theme is divided rather than directional.

Energy / Materials

Six bullish setups: OXY, GDX, XOM, CVX, XLE and GLD, with XOM strict, GDX actionable and the rest supplemental. XOM's $185 node and $183.15 boundary and CVX's $235 node and $232.65 boundary are the reference levels among the names with mapped detail. The group offers some diversification away from the tech-led weakness.

Retail / Defensive / Healthcare

Five bullish setups: NKE, PFE, PG, COST and KO. PG was one of the few names to rise on the session, up 0.55%, and sits above its $160 node with a first level at $165. KO's $94 node and PFE's $30 node carry tight boundaries at $93.06 and $29.70. This theme is the most likely to behave as mapped if the broader market stays defensive.

Bearish And Hedge Dashboard

Single-name bearish maps, for context beside the dashboard above.

VST: Bearish Momentum Base

Setup TypeStrict qualified bearish setup
Current$138.19
Execution Referencecurrent snapshot zone
Structural Invalidation$140.39
Short-Term GEX Reference$135.00
Swing / Extended VEX References$130.00, $125.00, $115.00

No separate entry is printed; the structure is read from the $138.19 snapshot against invalidation at $140.39. The first target reference is $135.00.

Key Risk Read

The bullish watchlist weakens if:

  • SMH trading below $517.28 or SOXX below $465.30 would weaken the semiconductor and memory maps together.
  • VIX holding above its 20.5-point first level and extending toward the 28 to 30-point ladder would argue against the bullish list as a whole.
  • QQQ below $684.09 and SPY below $748.44 would remove the large-cap support the list assumes.
  • NDX trading through its 28091.25-point boundary would undercut the Nasdaq-heavy primary names such as AMZN, GOOGL and TSM.
  • IWM below $276.21 and RUT below 2781.9 points would show the weakness spreading beyond tech.

The bullish watchlist improves if:

  • VIX slipping back below its 19.8-point boundary would ease the main disagreement on the dashboard.
  • SMH reclaiming $525 and SOXX reclaiming $480 would improve the read on MU, TSM and the chip names.
  • IWM moving through $284 and RUT through 2830 points would broaden participation behind the list.
  • Primary names holding their nearby nodes, such as BAC at $50 and GOOGL at $280, would confirm the support-based structure of the maps.

How To Use This Watchlist

This is a reference map, not a trade sheet.

  1. Pick the setup type that matches your process. A current-zone setup, a pullback entry, a reclaim reference and a supplemental watch are different structures.
  2. Avoid duplicating one theme. Several names in one group can be the same exposure.
  3. Respect target order and timeframe. The first reference is a different question from the far end of the ladder.
  4. Use the actual entry geometry. A missing entry is not permission to invent one; a very small entry-to-invalidation gap needs particular care.
  5. Refresh after expirations. Front anchors tied to an expiration are history once it passes.
  6. Watch the dashboard. Single-name setups mean more when the indexes, semis and volatility stop contradicting each other.

What Would Make This Analysis Invalidated

The read rests on support nodes holding after a broad down session. If the broad gauges trade through their boundaries, with SPY below $748.44, QQQ below $684.09 and SPXW below 7499.25 points, the bullish list loses its backdrop regardless of individual name maps.

On the semiconductor side, SMH below $517.28 and SOXX below $465.30 would invalidate the chip and memory part of the list, which is a large share of the mapped upside.

On the volatility side, VIX establishing above its 20.5-point level and working into its upper ladder would tell us the session's move was not a one-day repricing. Mapped levels and expirations identify where exposure sits; they do not set a deadline, and none of these boundaries implies a forecast of arrival in either direction.

The whole map needs updating if prices or the GEX/VEX nodes shift materially. Expirations, open interest and exposure change through the week; a snapshot is not a permanent market state.

This post shows 56 of the 73 qualified setups, plus 6 index and volatility maps as key levels. The selection is editorial, not a probability ranking.
